bug-backlog-zh-sprint-translated-as-chongci Backlog (zh): "Sprint" inconsistently localized to 冲刺 — should stay Latin "Sprint"
Type: bug · Parent: Epic 4 (Agile planning) · Surface: the backlog (Story 4.2) + estimation settings (Story 4.3) i18n catalog · Locale: zh (Simplified Chinese) · Reported by: Yue.
In the zh catalog the product term Sprint was rendered as 冲刺 in 6 keys, while the rest of the backlog/estimation surface (~30 keys — the page subtitle, the sprint error states, the entire start-sprint flow, create / collapse / expand sprint, the DnD instructions, …) already keeps it Latin Sprint. A single product term was split two ways inside one surface — the kind of inconsistency a native SaaS UI never ships.
Decision (locked zh glossary). Sprint stays Latin "Sprint" everywhere, the same call already made for Scrum and Kanban (kept Latin; the methodology word 看板 is reserved for the Kanban board TYPE). Mirror check: Atlassian's own zh build keeps Sprint/Scrum/Kanban Latin in these contexts. CJK↔Latin spacing follows the convention already in the file (a space between a CJK char and the Latin word; no space against full-width punctuation 。,).
The 6 offending keys: estimation.cardSubtitle, estimation.statisticHint, estimation.savedDesc, backlog.moveToSprint, backlog.noSprintsToMove, backlog.sprintPoints.emptyAria.
Acceptance criteria
- All 6 keys render Latin Sprint (no
冲刺remains anywhere inmessages/zh.json). - Spacing matches the file convention (space between CJK and the Latin word; full-width punctuation hugs the word).
- The
encatalog is untouched (byte-identical — tests/E2E assert English). tests/i18n-catalog.test.tsstays green (structural parity holds; no key added or removed) andmessages/zh.jsonis Prettier-clean + valid JSON.

Resolution: fixed in subtask/PROD-bug-zh-sprint-latin (PR #502) — the 6 stray 冲刺 normalised to Latin Sprint; i18n-catalog parity + Prettier green.
