Ideas to build
Build what Motir would buy.
A software company runs on more than code. It needs a lawyer, an accountant, a security team and people who know other markets, and Motir is no different. We would rather buy that work from a product built on Motir. These are the ones we need. Build one that scales, and Motir will be your first customer.
Motir is your first customer
Build one of these on Motir, in public, and we will use it, pay for it and tell you what is missing.
What makes a good idea here
Products that scale, not tools for one team
- Many customers, one productEvery idea serves thousands of companies with the same problem, not one company's own process.
- Expertise you can't hire cheaplyLaw, tax, security, languages: work that needs a specialist, made affordable by AI and kept honest by people.
- A person still signsThe AI drafts, checks and files the work. A qualified person approves what carries risk, the same way Motir puts a person at every gate.

Good products to build, beyond what Motir needs
Motir won't be your first customer for these. Each is a market with documented demand, a gap the current players leave open, and a reason it can be built now and not five years ago. The evidence is linked under each one.

APIs that update their customers' code
When an API makes a breaking change, the provider opens the pull request that migrates each customer's code, instead of sending an email.

- On YC's request list
- The evidence
- On Y Combinator's Fall 2026 Requests for Startups: API providers shouldn't just announce changes; they should apply them. Y Combinator, Requests for Startups, Fall 2026
- The gap
- Dependency bots only bump version numbers, and SDK generators don't touch customer code. Agents can now edit unfamiliar code well enough to open the pull request.

The AI transparency kit
A drop-in kit that tells users they're talking to an AI, marks generated content in a machine-readable way and labels deepfakes, as the EU now requires.
- Compliance
- Developer tools
- EU AI Act
- Small businesses
- The evidence
- Article 50 of the EU AI Act applies from 2 August 2026. Only the provider-side machine-readable marking duty for systems already on the market gets until 2 December 2026. Fines reach €15 million or 3% of worldwide turnover. Jones Walker, AI Law Blog, July 2026
- The gap
- Content-marking vendors serve enterprises or one platform. The disclosure duties have applied since 2 August 2026, and generative systems already on the market must add machine-readable marking by 2 December 2026. A small app maker still has no simple way to comply.
