- In 2025 the national medical insurance system recovered 34.219 billion yuan, handled 471,700 designated medical and pharmacy institutions under their agreements, and found 1,626 institutions guilty of fraud. The NHSA's own pre-claim reminder system (43% connected at end-2025) checks each claim as it is made; it does not go back over two years of claims or match charges to records. Weining Technology built the regulator's supervision system and sells risk control to 1,400+ hospitals, not clinics. Large hospitals can install the rule base in their own systems. A one-doctor clinic, dental practice or pharmacy has no compliance staff and nothing that does the backward self-check and keeps the defence file.
